Next Gear Labs is an Austin-based AI Automation and Training Agency for businesses whose AI licenses are gathering dust. We train teams, audit workflows, and build custom automations — no one has to become technical, and the work gets faster.

Why "Next Gear"

Most teams aren't behind on AI because they lack talent or tools. They're stuck in first gear: the company bought licenses, a few people experimented, and then everyone went back to the old way of working. The engine is fine — nobody shifted.

AI is not a tool problem. It's a work problem.

That's the gap we work in. Not AI theory, not hype about what's coming next — the unglamorous, valuable work of translating tool access into changed daily workflows. One team, one role, one workflow at a time. Shifting up a gear, not chasing a moonshot.

That makes us, more than anything, a translator. Leaders and teams don't need to become technical — they need someone fluent in both languages: what the tools can do, and how the actual work gets done. We sit on your side of the table and translate between the two until your team is fluent on its own.

We built the practice around Claude and Microsoft Copilot on purpose: they're the tools businesses actually license, and depth on two beats a survey of twenty.

How we operate

No jargon

If a term needs a glossary, we don't use it. Your team hears plain language about their own work — nothing else.

Real work only

We train on your documents, your emails, your reports. No canned demos — if it doesn't map to a real task, it's not in the session.

Measured, not vibes

Hours and dollars, counted at 30 days. If the training didn't change how the work gets done, we haven't finished the job.
